Caring for laser-engraved wood tags

Wood looks beautiful but is sensitive to moisture and repeated impact. If your dog swims regularly or spends a lot of time outdoors in wet conditions, wood is not the ideal choice. If you do choose wood:

• Wipe dry immediately after contact with water
• Don't leave it submerged in still water
• Once a month, rub a drop of neutral mineral oil into the surface
• Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can cause the wood to fade

Caring for anodized aluminum tags

Anodized aluminum is our most durable material — waterproof, lightweight, and rust-proof. It needs very little maintenance:

• Clean periodically with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap
• Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that can scratch the surface coating
• Check the split ring every few months — mechanical wear can loosen it over time

Caring for epoxy resin tags (with photo)

Epoxy resin is our most decorative option. The embedded photo is protected, but the surface can scratch:

• Clean only with a microfibre cloth — no abrasives
• Keep away from excessive heat (e.g. a car parked in the sun)
• For minor surface scratches, a thin layer of clear nail polish can help
